University of Queensland Launches NAPE ITP

UQ SCHOOL OF PHARMACY INTRODUCES GRADUATE CERTIFICATE IN PHARMACY PRACTICE

The UQ School of Pharmacy has introduced a Graduate Certificate in Pharmacy Practice (GCPharmPrac), which incorporates the National Alliance of Pharmacy Education (NAPE) Intern Training Program (ITP).

The ITP units are based on the highly successful program at Monash University, University of Sydney and University of South Australia.
Pharmacy interns who successfully complete the two units (1 year, part-time) of study that make up the ITP will be able to complete a further two units (1 year, part-time) of specialised study in order to achieve the award of the GCPharmPrac.

Integrated and flexibly-delivered, the GCPharmPrac combines a blend of pharmacist-moderated online discussion forums and face-to-face seminars, workplace activities, online self-paced background study material.
